Terms and Conditions

Last updated: 29 August 2026

Using hopewood.ro and placing an order means that you accept these terms. Please read them before ordering.

1. Seller identity

The website is operated by SC HOPEWOOD SRL, 25 Pelinului Street, room 2, Târgu Jiu, Gorj, Romania, Trade Register J2025055966004, Tax ID 52224531, phone +40 766 796 101, administrator Hatara Alexandru Aurelian. You may also contact us through the website form.

2. Products and information

We make reasonable efforts to keep descriptions, images, dimensions, colours, prices and availability accurate. Colours may vary by screen and material. Before ordering furniture, check product dimensions, the intended space and access routes.

Prices are stated in Romanian lei and include applicable taxes unless indicated otherwise. Delivery charges and optional services are displayed before the order is submitted.

3. Orders and contract formation

An order submitted through the website is a purchase request. The contract is formed after Hopewood expressly confirms the order. We may request clarification about the product, address, access or customisation. If an item is unavailable or an obvious error occurred, we will inform you and refund any amount received for that item without undue delay.

4. Payment and delivery

Available payment methods are shown at checkout. Estimated delivery time and cost depend on the product, destination and selected options and are communicated before confirmation or later where the product requires an individual quotation.

The customer must provide accurate information and ensure suitable delivery access. Risk of loss or damage passes to the consumer when the consumer or a designated person takes physical possession, as provided by law.

5. Right of withdrawal

A consumer may generally withdraw from a distance contract within 14 days from the day they take physical possession of the product, without giving a reason. To exercise this right, send an unequivocal statement through the contact form or using the contact details above.

The product must be returned within 14 days after communicating the withdrawal. Direct return costs are borne by the consumer unless stated otherwise. The refund is made within the statutory period and may be withheld until we receive the product or evidence of return. The consumer is responsible for diminished value caused by handling beyond what is necessary to establish the nature, characteristics and functioning of the goods.

Important exception: the withdrawal right does not apply to goods made to the customer’s specifications or clearly personalised, or in other cases provided by law. Where relevant, this exception will be stated before ordering.

6. Conformity, warranties and complaints

Products benefit from the statutory conformity guarantee and, where applicable, any commercial warranty stated for the item. If a product is non-conforming, contact us with a description and useful evidence. Available remedies are those provided by applicable law.

Please inspect the parcel on delivery and report visible damage promptly. This recommendation does not limit statutory consumer rights.

7. Accounts, website use and intellectual property

You are responsible for accurate information and account confidentiality. Fraudulent use, malicious code and infringement of third-party rights are prohibited. Website texts, graphics, trade marks and structure are protected by intellectual property law and may not be reused commercially without permission.

8. Liability and force majeure

Hopewood is liable within the limits of applicable law and does not exclude mandatory consumer rights. We are not liable for delays or failure caused by unforeseeable and unavoidable events beyond reasonable control for the duration of their effects.

9. Personal data

Personal data processing is described in our Privacy Policy and in the cookie preferences available on the website.

10. Applicable law and disputes

These terms are governed by Romanian law. We will first try to resolve complaints amicably. Consumers may contact the Romanian National Authority for Consumer Protection — ANPC — and its Alternative Dispute Resolution service — SAL — without losing the right to bring a claim before the competent courts.

11. Changes

We may update these terms for the future. The version applicable to an order is the one available when the order is placed, except where a change is required by law.
